Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule: Every other weekend

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 11, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions, working closely with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret rhythms; identify and escalate arrhythmias
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess, monitor, and rapidly respond to changes in patient condition
• Manage a typical patient load per facility acuity guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical team on plan of care
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards
• Support quality improvement and practice governance initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Minimum 2 years acute care telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
