Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Nights
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in the progressive care unit. This is a night shift position offering the schedule stability many travel nurses seek.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights), every other weekend
- No call required
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 11, 2026
Staffing & Float
You may be asked to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within Wichita. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verify via Nursys)
- License/certificate verification
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening (2-Step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test for respiratory protection
- EKG exam and core competencies assessment during onboarding
- Background check and drug screening
- EPLS certification
