Progressive Care Unit – Nursing
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its Progressive Care Unit. This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- 4 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend; no call required
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
Unit Details
You'll provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting, managing patients across the acuity spectrum who require intermediate-level monitoring and intervention. Float assignments to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita may occur.
Required Credentials & Licenses
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
- Current immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Drug screening and fit test
- Ascension Core Competencies, EKG Exam, and Unit Specific Checklist completion during onboarding
- BLS/ACLS (as required by facility standards)
