Progressive Care Unit – RN
Position Overview
The facility's progressive care unit is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to work with acute and intermediate-acuity patients in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Hours: 4 x 12-hour shifts; 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 18, 2026
- Location: Wichita, KS
Clinical Scope
You'll deliver comprehensive patient care in a progressive care setting, managing patients across varying acuity levels. Responsibilities include direct patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, EKG monitoring, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (Kansas)
- Professional references
- Completion of required health screenings, vaccinations, and background check as part of onboarding
- Immunizations: MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Drug screen and fit test
Onboarding Requirements
You'll complete facility-specific competencies, EKG exam, and electronic health record orientation prior to your start date. ACLS certification is required.
