Oncology Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced oncology nurse for a 13-week assignment on a specialized oncology unit. You'll work a 4×12 day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) with 48 guaranteed hours per week.
Clinical Scope
You'll provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on chemotherapy administration. The unit also manages medical-surgical overflow, so flexibility and strong assessment skills are essential. You'll work in a collaborative environment delivering compassionate care to patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Professional references and background check clearance
- Current immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test and health statement
- Driver's license/State ID
Onboarding
Standard facility onboarding applies, including core competencies, EKG exam, drug screening, and skills verification.
