Emergency Room Nurse – Behavioral Health
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Room is seeking a nurse to join a high-volume behavioral health team. You'll work nights in a fast-paced environment where clinical skill and compassion are essential.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights, 12-hour shifts)
- 4 days per week
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
What You'll Do
You'll provide direct patient care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, working alongside a dedicated team in a busy emergency setting. Clinical responsibilities include assessment, intervention, de-escalation, and coordinating care with psychiatric and medical services.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- ACLS certification or ability to obtain before onboarding
- Physical and mental fitness for the role (including vision and TB screening)
- Drug screening and background check clearance
- Vaccinations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and two-step TB test
What to Expect
You'll complete facility-specific orientation and competency assessments upon arrival. Attire is ceil blue scrubs. The facility uses electronic health records; familiarity with charting systems is helpful but training will be provided.
