Emergency Department Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Shift & Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4 x 12-hour shifts per week

Guaranteed 48 hours per week

13-week contract

About the Role

You'll provide direct nursing care in a busy emergency department that serves a high volume of behavioral health patients. You'll implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, communicate patient conditions to the care team, coordinate care across disciplines, and execute physician and nursing orders. This role demands critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor patient care plans
• Assess, record, and communicate patient status
• Coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team
• Act as a primary liaison across nursing and clinical disciplines
• Work with minimal direct supervision

Requirements

• Current RN license (verification required)
• Professional references
• BLS/ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Immunizations and health screening (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, Hepatitis B, TB screening)
• Fit test and drug screening

What to Expect

Ceil blue scrubs required. You'll work in a dynamic environment managing acute and behavioral health presentations with critical thinking and autonomy.
