Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 16-week contract assignment in Wichita, Kansas.

Schedule & Logistics

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend; no call required
• Scrubs: Ceil blue
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Float Expectations: You may be required to float to similar units on the same campus or to other campuses within Wichita

Clinical Environment

You'll work in a fast-paced emergency department, managing acute and high-acuity patients with diverse presentations. This role offers the opportunity to practice broad emergency nursing skills in a dynamic clinical setting.

Requirements

• Current RN license (verification required)
• EPLS (Emergency Pediatric Life Support) certification
• Competency assessments and skills validation
• Standard onboarding requirements including background check, drug screening, and immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB screening via PPD or IGRA, and Fit Test)

• Duration: 16 weeks
• Hours: 36 guaranteed per week
