Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Physical Therapist for an acute care setting. You'll evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and oversee physical therapy assistants and support staff. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
Clinical Scope
You'll work with a diverse patient population across multiple units, including neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and oncological cases, as well as general medical patients. You'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team and participate in real-time documentation and point-of-service care.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Weekend requirement: Minimum 2 days per month (additional shifts available if interested)
- Contract length: 90 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
Team & Support
You'll join a collaborative rehabilitation department of approximately 45–50 associates, including occupational and speech therapists. The core PT team includes 8 full-time physical therapists and 3 assistants. Comprehensive training will be provided to prepare you for your clinical responsibilities.
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy license
- MMR, varicella, Tdap, hepatitis B, influenza vaccine
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/QuantiFERON Gold)
- Fit test and health statement documentation
- Professional references and background clearance
