Surgical Technologist – CVOR
The Position
Join the cardiovascular operating room team as a Certified Surgical Technologist. You'll provide direct care and support in open heart procedures, working alongside surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff to ensure seamless surgical flow and optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans in the OR setting
- Serve as primary coordinator among surgical disciplines
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition changes
- Execute physician and nursing orders with precision
- Assess and support discharge planning needs as appropriate
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Requirements
- Current NBSTSA Certification (required)
- Proven experience with open heart procedures
- Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Standard Precautions and PPE protocols
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week (10-hour shifts)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Start Date: October 18, 2026
