Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract: 13 weeks
Location: Tulsa, OK
About the Role
You'll provide direct nursing care on a cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac patients, including post-operative cases. You'll implement and monitor individualized care plans, assess and communicate patient conditions, coordinate care across disciplines, and execute physician and nursing orders with precision.
The Unit
The cardiac telemetry unit serves patients of all ages requiring cardiac monitoring and post-op care. You'll work in teams supported by Patient Care Technicians and a unit coordinator. Virtual sitter monitoring and monitor technicians are available to support your work. Patient-to-nurse ratios are managed to ensure quality care.
What We're Looking For
- Current nursing license (Nursys verification required)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Flexibility to float to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments as needed
- Willingness to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period and holidays as required
Onboarding Requirements
You'll complete facility-specific onboarding, including pharmacology and specialty exams, EKG competency testing, and core competencies. Standard health requirements apply (vaccinations, TB screening, drug screen, background check).
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
