Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its cardiac telemetry unit. You will provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients, including post-operative cases, implementing individualized care plans and coordinating care across the healthcare team.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; holidays as needed
- Float assignments to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments
Clinical Scope
- Monitor, assess, and communicate patient conditions
- Implement and adjust care plans based on clinical findings
- Coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team
- Execute physician and nursing orders
- Work alongside Patient Care Technicians, a unit coordinator, monitor technicians, and virtual sitter monitoring support
Requirements
- Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work independently with critical thinking and sound judgment in a high-acuity environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Onboarding
Standard credentialing includes pharmacology and specialty exams, EKG competency, core competencies, health screening, vaccinations, and drug screen.
