Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
About the Role
You'll provide direct nursing care on a cardiac telemetry unit, implementing and monitoring individualized patient care plans. Your responsibilities include recording and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care across disciplines, executing physician and nursing orders, and managing discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
The Unit
The cardiac telemetry unit specializes in comprehensive cardiac care, including postoperative patients. You'll work in a collaborative environment supported by patient care technicians and a unit coordinator. Virtual sitter monitoring and monitor technicians are available to support telemetry patients. The unit serves patients of all ages and acuities.
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Flexibility to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period and holidays as needed
Required Upon Onboarding
Pharmacology exam, specialty exam, EKG exam, core competencies assessment, unit-specific checklist, immunizations (MMR, Tdap, varicella, influenza, hepatitis B), TB screening, drug screen, fit test, and background check.
