Cardiac Telemetry Nurse – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a cardiac telemetry unit. You'll provide direct nursing care to patients with diverse cardiac needs, including post-operative cases, using critical thinking and clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Unit & Clinical Scope
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Assess, record, and communicate patient status to the healthcare team
- Execute physician and nursing orders with precision
- Coordinate discharge planning and care transitions
- Work as part of a cohesive nursing team
Schedule & Expectations
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Float Requirements: You may float to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments as needed
- Weekend Commitment: Up to 6 weekend shifts within each 6-week period; holiday availability required
Required Credentials
- Current RN license (must verify via Nursys)
- ACLS certification
- Vaccinations (MMR, Tdap, varicella, influenza, hepatitis B)
- Negative TB clearance (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit testing and drug screening
