Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Tulsa, OK
About the Role
You'll provide direct nursing care on a busy cardiac telemetry unit serving patients across all ages, including post-operative cardiac patients. Work as part of a collaborative team coordinated with physicians, PCTs, and unit coordinators to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team
- Carry out physician and nursing orders with precision
- Coordinate discharge planning with team members
- Assess patients and adapt care as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Float to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments as assigned
Unit Details
Schedule & Expectations
- Nights: 12-hour shifts
- Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- Holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking skills
- Comfort in a high-acuity, team-oriented setting
- Flexibility to float between units
Onboarding includes pharmacology and specialty exams, EKG certification, core competencies, and standard health screening requirements.
