Cardiac Telemetry Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Location: Tulsa, OK | Contract: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

About the Role

You'll provide direct nursing care on a cardiac telemetry unit, implementing and monitoring patient care plans while serving as the primary coordinator across disciplines. Your responsibilities include assessing and communicating patient conditions, executing physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team. You'll work with critical thinking and decisive judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Unit

The cardiac telemetry unit specializes in all cardiac needs, including post-operative care. You'll work in a collaborative environment supported by patient care technicians and unit coordinators. Virtual sitter monitoring and telemetry support are available to assist with patient safety and monitoring.

Float Requirements & Schedule

You'll float between cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical departments. Expect to work up to 6 weekend shifts within each 6-week schedule period; holiday availability may be needed based on departmental needs.

Requirements

• Current RN license (verification required)
• Professional references and skills assessment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfort managing stress and working in high-acuity settings

Onboarding

Standard facility onboarding includes pharmacology, specialty, EKG, and core competency exams; health screening; and relevant immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, influenza, TB screening).
