Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a cardiac telemetry unit providing direct care to patients with varying cardiac needs.
Unit & Clinical Scope
This unit specializes in cardiac care and telemetry monitoring. You'll manage patients across the acuity spectrum, implementing and monitoring individualized care plans. Your responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient conditions and communicating clinical changes to the care team
- Coordinating with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
- Executing physician and nursing orders with precision
- Planning and coordinating discharge needs with team members
- Utilizing telemetry monitoring, virtual sitter technology, and monitor technicians to support patient safety
The nursing team works closely with Patient Care Technicians and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator to deliver coordinated care.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with critical thinking and sound judgment
- Flexibility to work up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
- Adherence to Standard Precautions and facility infection control protocols
