PACU Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures. You'll work in a fast-paced recovery environment where your clinical skills and attention to detail directly impact patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patients closely during the immediate post-anesthesia period
- Assess vital signs, manage pain and nausea, and identify complications early
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Communicate patient status to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Coordinate discharge planning with healthcare team members
- Execute physician and nursing orders with accuracy
- Work independently with strong critical thinking and decisive judgment
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Experience in PACU, ICU, critical care, ED, or perioperative nursing preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous PACU or critical-care experience
- CPAN or CAPA certification
- PALS certification for pediatric patients
- Experience with airway management and hemodynamic monitoring
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 23, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Location: Tulsa, OK
This role requires the ability to work in a high-stress environment and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
