Orthopedic Surgical Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract on a general orthopedic surgical unit. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in Tulsa, OK, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Unit
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care according to established protocols
- Implement and monitor comprehensive patient care plans
- Communicate patient status and updates to the care team
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and ensure well-coordinated treatment
- Execute physician and nursing orders
- Assess discharge planning needs and coordinate with the healthcare team
What You Bring
- Active RN license (verified through Nursys)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment
- Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Willingness to complete facility-required exams and competency assessments during onboarding
Requirements
- Current nursing license and professional references
- Compliance with health history screening, vaccinations, and background check
- Completion of onboarding requirements (pharmacology and medical-surgical exams, EMR training, skills verification)
