Neuro/Stroke Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Neuro/Stroke unit. You'll provide direct patient care to adult patients on a telemetry-capable unit, working the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM).
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Assess patient conditions, document findings, and communicate with the healthcare team
- Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure seamless patient outcomes
- Execute physician and nursing orders with precision
- Coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Apply critical thinking and independent judgment in a dynamic environment
- Partner with PCTs, healthcare unit coordinators, monitor technicians, and virtual sitter services to support patient safety
Unit Details
Requirements
- Current RN license
- NIH stroke certification required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Holiday availability as needed based on department needs
Contract Details
- 13-week assignment
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
