Day Shift | 13-Week Contract
This Level III NICU opportunity is located in Asheville, North Carolina, offering travel nurses a chance to work in a high-acuity neonatal setting surrounded by the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.
Shift & Schedule
- Every other weekend required
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Unit Overview
The NICU cares for a complex neonatal population across a range of acuity levels, from close observation to intensive one-on-one care. The unit is staffed by a collaborative team of RNs, charge nurses, and respiratory therapists on both day and night shifts. Float requirements include Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother-Baby (babies only).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Level III (or higher) NICU experience
- NRP certification required
- NIC-RNC preferred; STABLE certification a plus
- Detail-oriented, organized candidates thrive in this environment
