Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a full-time position working night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Role
You'll join a fast-paced emergency department where you'll provide direct patient care across a diverse range of acuities and presentations. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, intervention, and stabilization; collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams; and documentation in the electronic health record.
Requirements
- Current RN license (North Carolina)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple patients in a high-volume environment
- Night shift availability and flexibility
What We're Looking For
Emergency nurses who are comfortable with rapid-fire decision-making, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Experience in emergency medicine is essential; trauma experience is a plus.
