Emergency Department RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with guaranteed 36 hours per week, every other weekend.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of emergency department experience
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Current PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
Clinical Scope
This is a fast-paced ER environment where you'll manage acute and emergent patients across a broad acuity spectrum. You'll participate in conscious sedation, intubations, and manage critical presentations including stroke (tPA administration), sepsis, chest pain, and behavioral health cases. Float responsibilities as needed within the department.
Preferred Qualifications
- CEN certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Unit Details
- Floating within the department as needed
- Scrubs: Navy (undershirts/jackets in white, navy, or black only)
- Hair off shoulders; natural color
- No acrylic nails (max 1 inch, clean polish only)
- Cover visible tattoos where feasible
- No visible piercings except ears
