Telemetry Nurse – 13-Week Travel Assignment
The Opportunity
The facility is seeking experienced telemetry nurses for a 13-week contract in acute care. You'll work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 2 weekends per 4 weeks, with holidays as needed. Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Your Role
You'll float across multiple telemetry units:
- 4th floor telemetry
- 5th, 6th, and 7th floor medical-surgical telemetry
Your scope includes monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing stable to intermediate-acuity patients, and providing direct patient care on a busy hospital unit.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
- Strong telemetry assessment skills
- Ability to float between units and adapt to varying patient acuity
Assignment Details
- Start Dates: October 26, November 9, November 30, or December 14, 2026
- Location: Merced, CA area
- Contract: 13 weeks (potential for extension)
- Cancellation Policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for shorter contracts)
Location
Located in the Central Valley, you'll be 2 hours from San Francisco and Sacramento, 1 hour from Fresno and Modesto. The area offers outdoor recreation including Yosemite National Park, hiking, and lakes—perfect for time off between shifts.
