Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical Float Pool RN | Boston, MA | 8-Week Contract

This float pool position supports a diverse range of medical-surgical units, covering specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, GYN/GU, orthopedics (hips and joints), oncology, liver and kidney transplant, and vascular. Travel RNs are typically assigned to a single unit for 2–3 week stretches, though unit assignments can occasionally be provided close to shift start.

Shift & Schedule

• Rotating combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts (days, evenings, and nights)
• Every other weekend required; holiday shifts required
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
• No on-call required
• Up to 3 days of RTO considered; all RTO must be submitted at time of application

Clinical Scope

• Telemetry monitoring, 12-lead EKGs, Lasix drips, blood transfusions, nebulizer administration
• RT manages ventilators; RN responsible for nebulizer administration
• High-acuity med-surg patient population across multiple specialty services

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• High-acuity or teaching hospital background preferred
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• Basic web-based computer navigation skills
