Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical Float Pool RN | Boston, MA | 8-Week Contract

This float pool position supports a broad range of medical-surgical units covering specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general and GYN/GU surgery, orthopedics, oncology, transplant (liver and kidney), and vascular. Travel RNs rotate across units and may receive assignments up to two hours before a shift begins.

Schedule & Hours

• Rotating days, evenings, and nights with a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts
• Every 4-week cycle includes one week of mixed shifts (one 12-hour and three 8-hour shifts)
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (excluding any on-call time)
• Every other weekend required; holidays required
• No on-call required
• Maximum of three RTO days accepted; all RTO must be submitted at time of application; no holiday RTO approved

Clinical Scope

• 12-lead EKGs, telemetry monitoring, blood transfusions, and Lasix drip management
• Respiratory therapy manages ventilators; RNs administer nebulizer treatments
• Acuity ranges from general medical-surgical to telemetry-monitored patients

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital and/or specialty area preferred
