Medical ICU Float Position
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for an 8-week contract assignment in the Medical ICU. You'll work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts (3 shifts per week, 48 hours), with guaranteed hours of 72 biweekly.
Requirements
- Massachusetts nursing license
- CPR-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications
- 2+ years of related ICU experience
- Experience at a Level 1 trauma center required
Key Details
- Start Date: February 1st
- Orientation: Weekly on Mondays (excluding holidays)
- Float Role: No, assigned to Medical ICU
- Time Off: Maximum of 3 RTO days allowed; no holiday RTO approved. All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application.
- Contract Guarantee: 72 hours biweekly guaranteed hours
Clinical Scope
The Medical ICU manages high-acuity patients requiring intensive care and monitoring. You'll provide direct patient care, medication administration, hemodynamic monitoring, and support for critical interventions within the scope of your role.
