Neuro ICU Registered Nurse — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV
This 13-week travel contract places you in a neuro-focused ICU managing high-acuity patients with diagnoses including stroke, head bleeds, dialysis-dependent conditions, and complex neurological disorders requiring critical care intervention.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 shifts/week (36 hours guaranteed)
- Preference and block scheduling accommodated based on unit need
- Weekend requirement: 3 Saturday/Sunday shifts plus 1 Friday and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule
- Holidays assigned as needed (not every holiday)
- Cancellation policy: up to 2 shifts per contract
Unit Details
- Intensivist coverage during the day; on-call overnight with 24/7 APP support
- Respiratory therapy on-site 24/7; manages patients on vents, BiPAP, high-flow, and nasal cannula
- Telemetry monitored remotely by technicians on a separate floor
- Free charge nurse — not pulled from floor staffing
- Nurse aides on unit
Clinical Requirements
- Titration of drips required: vasopressors (Levophed, phenylephrine, nicardipine, vasopressin), sedation/paralytics (Versed, paralytics), heparin, and insulin
- Solid ICU and critical care experience required
Certifications Required
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- BSN not required
- Active RN license required; facility will wait for licensure
