Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Travel RN

Winchester, MA | 12-Hour Days | 8-Week Contract

This PCU role places you in an active progressive care environment managing moderate-to-high acuity patients. The unit handles a diverse patient population and requires comfort with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medications — candidates must be able to titrate pressors.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour days
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
• Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
• Contract start: October 19, 2026

Clinical Expectations

• Manage moderate-to-high acuity PCU patients
• Float in 4-hour blocks to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed
• Day-one pass/fail competency testing will be administered
• High-acuity trauma experience strongly preferred; required if you have no prior travel experience

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA) — preferred
• NIHSS — preferred

Requirements

• Proficiency with electronic health records required
• Pressor titration experience required
• Candidates must not have worked at this facility (permanent, per diem, or contract) within the past 6 months
• Weekly start dates (Mondays); this assignment begins October 19, 2026
