Intermediate Care Unit Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for its Intermediate Care Unit with a neuroscience focus. This is a 12-hour rotating day/night shift role with every-other-weekend requirements.
Clinical Scope
You'll care for intermediate and high-acuity neuroscience patients, including:
- Post-operative day zero neuro cases
- Acute thrombectomies and TPA administration
- Patients with external ventricular drains (EVDs), lumbar drains, and arterial lines
- Select patients receiving vasoactive infusions
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license (required at submission)
- 3+ years related nursing experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification
- Basic competency with web-based clinical applications
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night), every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
- Start: ASAP (orientation begins weekly on Mondays)
- Location: Boston, MA

- Non-local candidates only (must reside >50 miles from facility)
- Not eligible if you've worked at this facility as permanent or per diem staff within the last six months
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
