Medical-Surgical Float Pool RN | Boston, MA | 8-Week Contract

This float pool position supports a broad range of medical-surgical units covering specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics (hips and joints), oncology, transplant (liver and kidney), and vascular.

Schedule

• Rotating days and nights; combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required; holidays required
• Typical 4-week cycle includes one week with one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts
• Rotation between days/evenings and nights will include a few days' buffer when possible
• No on-call required
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly

Clinical Scope

• 12-lead EKGs, Lasix drips, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring, and nebulizer administration
• Patient acuity ranges across medical-surgical specialties; unit assignments may be provided up to 2 hours before shift start

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• High-acuity and teaching hospital experience preferred
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
• Basic computer and web-based application skills

• Float pool: assignments rotate across multiple medical-surgical units
• Any color scrubs accepted
• Orientation held every Monday (excluding holidays)
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application; no more than 3 days RTO accepted; no holiday RTO approved
