Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for its medical-surgical telemetry unit. This is an 8-week night shift assignment beginning January 11, 2027.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 72 hours guaranteed biweekly
- Expectations: Weekends and holidays required; maximum three days off during the contract period
- Float: You will float to similar units and overflow areas as needed
Clinical Scope
You'll provide care to med-surg telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing acute and post-operative cases. Charge nurse experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years med-surg telemetry experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Flu vaccination required
- Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam and medications assessment (85% passing score; one attempt only)
Important Testing Note
You must pass dysrhythmia and medication competency exams within 48 hours of accepting the offer. These are administered via virtual meeting. Study materials will be provided. There is no opportunity for remediation, so preparation beforehand is strongly recommended.
