Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Milton, MA
Contract: 8 weeks | Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 72 per biweekly period (excluding on-call)
About the Unit
This Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit requires all RNs to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips — there are no telemetry technicians on the floor. You must be comfortable with continuous cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition as a core part of daily practice. Float capability is required.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend required
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- 2+ years of recent acute Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to float as needed
Pre-Acceptance Testing — Important
Candidates must complete and pass two assessments via Zoom prior to acceptance:
- Dysrhythmia Test: 20 questions
- Medications Test: 20 questions
- Passing score: 85% — one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit permitted
- Testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation
- A study guide with tips will be provided to help you prepare
