Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift | Milton, MA

This 8-week contract opportunity is on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit requiring strong acute care and rhythm interpretation skills. The unit does not utilize telemetry technicians — all RNs are expected to independently read and interpret cardiac strips.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (excluding any on-call hours worked)
• Float required

Pre-Acceptance Testing

Before acceptance, candidates must pass two assessments administered via Zoom:

• Dysrhythmia exam (20 questions)
• Medications exam (20 questions)
• Passing score: 85% | One attempt only — no remediation or re-sit
• Testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation
• A study guide will be provided to help you prepare

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN experience
• Current Massachusetts RN license
• BLS and ACLS required
• Proficiency in electronic health record documentation required
• Must be able to independently interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias

Contract Details

• Duration: 8 weeks
• Start date: January 5, 2027
• Maximum 3 days of requested time off accepted
• No separation period required for candidates with prior experience at this health system
