Rehab Nurse – Nashua, NH
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Rehab Nurse for a 13-week contract working three 12-hour rotating shifts. You will deliver professional nursing care to patients in the rehabilitation unit, with occasional float assignments to Med/Surg as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and comprehensive clinical documentation, including care plans each shift
- Communicate patient information through bedside shift reports, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding
- Participate in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality improvement initiatives
- Identify and help resolve patient care safety issues within a just culture environment
- Monitor and work to reduce nurse-sensitive indicators (CAUTI, CLABSI, C. difficile, HAPUs, falls)
- Serve as a preceptor for new nursing staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and nursing staff across departments
- Maintain a safe, secure environment and promote a positive unit culture
Requirements
- Current New Hampshire RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred or must be completed during orientation
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or must be completed during orientation
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Three 12-hour rotating shifts
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Up to 16 hours of orientation are unpaid
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
