Labor and Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Unit Description
You'll provide care across labor and delivery and mother-baby services. The unit manages approximately 20 deliveries per month on average, caring for women and infants until they are stable for discharge or transfer.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Support neonatal care and mother-baby bonding
- Assess maternal and neonatal status; respond to complications
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (state of Maryland or compact state)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- STABLE certification
- Within 50-mile radius of facility (unexpired driver's license required with application)
Schedule & Contract Terms
- 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Start date: September 22, 2026
- Cancellation policy: 1 cancellation permitted for this contract duration
