Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform routine and advanced imaging procedures while supporting the imaging team and ensuring efficient patient flow. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where your technical skills and flexibility directly impact patient care and departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures
- Provide support to fellow imaging technologists and optimize patient throughput
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in quality assurance activities
- Resolve image processing and archiving system problems
- Serve as a PACS Superuser, ensuring proper exam storage and managing downtime procedures
- Maintain strict radiation safety protocols when handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals
- Complete daily logs and periodic licensing tests
- Participate in ongoing education and stay current with safety and technical advances
- Demonstrate flexibility by working alternative shifts or at other locations as needed
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with biomedical personnel
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
- 1+ year clinical nuclear medicine experience preferred
- Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or NMTCB
- Texas State Licensure (MRT by TMB)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Basic computer proficiency
Schedule & Details
- Shift: 5 days, 8 hours per day (06:30–17:00)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
