Pediatric Nursing Manager
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to provide administrative and clinical leadership for its pediatric units, including PICU, general pediatrics, and NICU. This is a day-shift management role focused on ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and supporting a strong nursing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain safe patient care coverage
- Monitor unit performance metrics, quality indicators, and regulatory compliance
- Support staff development, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as needed
- Serve as a clinical resource and escalation point for complex patient care and staff issues
- Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and hospital administration on operational needs
- Facilitate staff education, meetings, and onboarding for new team members
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and accreditation standards
- Participate in budget planning, supply management, and process improvement initiatives
- Address patient and family concerns while maintaining satisfaction and safety
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York State (or compact license)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN required; MSN preferred)
- BLS certification required
- 7 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or charge nurse role
- Strong leadership, staffing, and performance management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across clinical and administrative teams
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
