Cath Lab Tech

Cath Lab Technician | Louisville, KY | 13-Week Contract

This travel opportunity places you in an active cardiac catheterization lab performing a wide range of invasive cardiovascular procedures. The role involves scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring responsibilities across diagnostic and interventional cases.

Clinical Scope

• Assist physicians during diagnostic angiograms, PCI/stent placements, and pacemaker/device implants
• Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment; record and report hemodynamic pressures
• Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and supplies for each case
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout procedures
• Administer contrast media and medications per physician orders and protocol
• Assist with post-procedure care including sheath removal and site management per scope and policy
• Maintain radiation safety practices for patients and staff
• Accurately document procedures, supplies, and patient data

Schedule

Rotating schedule over a two-week cycle:

• Week 1: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (0700–1530)
• Week 2: Monday–Friday, call coverage (1530–0700) plus Saturday and Sunday (0700–0700)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience; 1+ year of cath lab experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program
• Active certification: RCIS, ARRT(VI), or RTRCI
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• State RT license where applicable
• Ability to respond to on-call and emergent cases
