Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN

Shift & Schedule

12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM), every-other weekend required (Saturday/Sunday). 36 guaranteed hours per week. 13-week contract.

Unit Overview

You'll float across a medical-surgical/telemetry service covering multiple units. You'll be assigned a parent unit but may float to any of the six units in the pool based on daily needs. Most frequent assignments include the med-surg and telemetry units.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Pass a cardiac rhythm exam
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Valid driver's license (50-mile radius requirement)

Team & Support

Charge nurses are available 24/7 on all units. CNAs provide direct patient support. You'll receive 1–2 shifts of preceptor-led orientation. The clinical coordinator assigns units at shift start.

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs.

Cancellation Policy

Up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract may be cancelled.
