Cardiac ICU — Travel RN | 13-Week Contract | Redding, CA

This Cardiac ICU position focuses on high-acuity critical care, including fresh post-open-heart surgery patients and complex mixed ICU cases. Candidates must have recent, verifiable experience with fresh open hearts — this is a firm requirement.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend
• Self-scheduling, finalized approximately 6 weeks in advance
• First to float to telemetry or med-surg units as needed
• Must be available for 2 of the 3 major holidays

Clinical Environment

• Charge Nurse on unit without a patient assignment
• Hospitalist coverage 24/7; Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available around the clock
• Ventilator management required

Important — Day One Requirement

All candidates will complete a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on the first day of the assignment. This is a pass/fail exam — come prepared.

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled over a 13-week contract
• Unit orientation: 1 day
• Scrub color: Navy
• BSN not required
