CT/X-Ray Technologist – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist for its freestanding emergency department. This is a 13-week contract running 19:00–07:00 (night shift) with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
About the Unit
You'll work in a busy, high-acuity emergency setting averaging 80 patients daily (100+ during winter surge). The department is well-equipped and maintains strong patient experience scores. You'll be part of a team known for excellent culture and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT and X-ray imaging equipment independently
- Often provide sole coverage for both modalities
- Manage moderate pediatric volume
- Support acute stroke protocols
- Perform routine ER imaging procedures (no surgical or biopsy work)
Requirements
- 2+ years of hospital-based experience (required at time of application)
- VA nursing license or compact license (required at submission)
- Current CPR certification
- ARRT certification
- ARRT-CT certification
Schedule & Staffing
- Night shift: 19:00–07:00
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- No on-call requirements
- No floating to other units
