Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the NICU with a night shift schedule. This is a 13-week contract role offering 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
- Location: Spotsylvania, VA
Clinical Scope
You'll provide respiratory support to neonatal patients, managing ventilation and non-invasive respiratory therapies including CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and bubble CPAP. This role requires hands-on experience with advanced ventilation equipment and the ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated respiratory and NICU team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience
- Required: NICU experience with demonstrated competency (minimum level 3)
- Required Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS
- Preferred: NRP (can be obtained after hire if needed)
- All black scrubs

A clinician comfortable with high-acuity neonatal care, proficient in advanced ventilation strategies, and ready to contribute to a specialized respiratory team. Experience with multiple ventilation modes and non-invasive therapies is essential.
