Position Overview
The facility is seeking a PACU RN for a 13-week contract in Richmond, VA. This is a full-time role with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekday on-call: 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM
- Weekend call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Call rotates among staff
- Navy scrubs required
Unit Details
Clinical Scope
The unit specializes in post-operative care with a strong neurosurgery focus. You'll perform duties including PCA pump setup, drip titration, arterial line blood draws, and ventilator management. Experience with neuro patients and ventilator competency are essential.
Requirements
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
- PACU or ICU experience (required)
- Strong neuro background
- Ventilator competency
- Preferred: drip titration experience, neurosurgery background
