Pharmacist

Inpatient Pharmacist | Durango, CO | 13-Week Contract

This inpatient pharmacy role covers all hospital service areas, including the ED, ICU, imaging, cath lab, hospice, and general inpatient units. The position offers a varied clinical scope in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable 10-hour shifts between 0600–2200
• Every other weekend required
• On-call: one night per week
• Weekend coverage rotates every 4–6 weeks
• Holidays assigned as needed
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Clinical Responsibilities

• Medication dispensing and automated cabinet pulls
• Patient medication review and drug therapy monitoring (DTMs)
• Multidisciplinary rounding (MDR)
• Phone and clinical consultation
• Medication protocol management and dosing
• Sterile compounding

Required Credentials

• Active Colorado Pharmacist License
• BLS (AHA)
• Demonstrated experience in sterile compounding and hospital pharmacy operations

• Contract length: 91 weeks (7 x 13-week terms) — confirm exact commitment with your recruiter
• Start date: Late November 2026
• Candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility; a valid driver's license is required
• In-person attendance is required for the orientation week, even if initial modules are remote
• Hospital-laundered scrubs provided
• Pharmacy technicians are available on the team
• Cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts may be canceled per 13-week assignment
