Pharmacist

Inpatient Pharmacist | Durango, CO | 13-Week Contract

This inpatient pharmacy role supports all hospital service areas, including the emergency department, ICU, imaging, cath lab, hospice, and general inpatient units. The position offers broad clinical exposure and requires a pharmacist who is experienced, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Schedule

• Variable 10-hour shifts between 0600–2200
• Every other weekend required
• On-call: one night per week
• Holiday coverage as assigned
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Clinical Responsibilities

• Medication dispensing and automated cabinet pulls
• Patient medication review and drug therapy monitoring (DTM)
• Multidisciplinary rounding
• Phone and clinical consultation
• Medication protocol development and dosing support
• Sterile compounding

Required Qualifications

• Active Colorado Pharmacist License
• BLS (AHA)
• Demonstrated experience in sterile compounding
• Solid background in hospital pharmacy operations

Additional Details

• Hospital-laundered scrubs provided
• Comprehensive general and department-specific orientation provided; candidates must be in-state for the orientation week
• Candidates must reside or be willing to travel within 60 miles of the facility; valid driver's license required
• Pharmacy technician support available on unit
• Cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts may be canceled over a 13-week assignment
