Perioperative Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse to provide coverage across the Periop, Endoscopy, and Recovery departments. You'll work in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment requiring high proficiency across all three specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Occasional Friday coverage when on-call
- On-call: 1 night per week and every 5th weekend
- Weekend and holiday work as scheduled (typically rotating)
Requirements
- Vermont RN license (or Compact eligible)
- Minimum 2+ years current Outpatient PACU experience (required)
- Perioperative and Endoscopy experience (required)
- Ability to start and maintain IV lines
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Own vehicle required
- Supervisory-signed reference from employment within the past two years
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Critical access facility experience
