Emergency Department Nurse
Shift: 18:45–07:15 (nights)
Contract: 6 weeks | 48 hours guaranteed

About the Role
Join the Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.The department values teamwork, real-time communication, and a welcoming approach to a diverse community.
Typical Patient Population:
Medical emergencies, trauma, behavioral health holds, and acute care patients requiring rapid assessment and intervention.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care using AIDET principles
- Collaborate with technicians, unit clerks, and interdisciplinary teams
- Float flexibly across all ED sections; no floating outside the department
- Maintain patient boards and communicate updates throughout visits
- Work every other weekend; schedule flexibility required to meet departmental needs
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (state of practice)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Prior experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume ED preferred
- All certifications must be completed before the start date:
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
Uniform & Policies
- Scrubs: All navy, all white, or navy/white combination
- Tobacco use prohibited on all campus properties
- Attendance policy provided on day one
Orientation: 4-hour hospital orientation + 8-hour supervised floor shift
