Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
We are seeking a registered nurse for a night shift position in the facility's emergency department in Asheville, NC.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
Clinical Scope
You'll deliver care to a diverse patient population across the full spectrum of emergency presentations. Responsibilities include rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of acute and critical patients; collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams; patient and family communication; and adherence to evidence-based protocols and safety standards.
Requirements
- Current RN license (North Carolina)
- BLS certification required; ACLS highly preferred
- Night shift experience in an emergency or acute-care setting preferred
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
