Pediatric Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its pediatric operating room. You'll provide circulating and scrub nursing support across a variety of pediatric surgical procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM, Friday required
- Call: Every 5th weekend, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Saturday–Sunday)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start date: October 11, 2026
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- 2+ years of acute care OR nursing experience, specifically pediatric OR
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- ADN or BSN
Key Responsibilities
- Provide circulating and scrub nursing support during pediatric surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment
- Perform pre-operative assessments and verify surgical site, consent, and procedure per protocol
- Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts throughout cases
- Monitor patient safety and status during procedures
- Manage surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team
- Document intraoperative care accurately
