Location: Lexington, KY
Schedule: Third shift, 3×12 hours (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), weekends and holidays as needed
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 19, 2026
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the clinical team. You will manage ventilation and non-invasive ventilation for neonates, pediatric, and adult patients across all acuity levels. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing mechanical and non-invasive ventilation; educating patients and families on ventilator care
- Administering oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
- Performing airway management and supporting CPR efforts
- Obtaining and processing arterial blood gases independently
- Assessing therapy appropriateness and making clinical recommendations
- Documenting in the electronic health record and acknowledging orders
- Maintaining and troubleshooting respiratory care equipment
- Responding promptly to respiratory care requests across the hospital
You will work collaboratively with nursing, physicians, and other departments while supporting quality improvement initiatives and education programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care (KBRC) Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
