Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a fast-paced unit environment.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 15, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to 4–6 patients per shift, including pre- and post-operative surgical patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips
• Perform comprehensive assessments and manage wound care and pain management
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• 1+ years of medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• Demonstrated telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)
